  • There are several functions on the TV in your room, all designed to enhance your stay and make for a smoother everyday life while you stay with us at Savoy 1918.  

    Casting: Enjoy a seamless in-room entertainment experience by casting your favourite TV shows and movies directly to the screen.  

    1. Turn on the TV 

    1. Press the Home button on the remote to go to the TV’s main menu 

    1. Scroll down to “Cast” and press “OK” OR Press the “Casting” icon on the remote 

    1. Connect to the room’s Wi-Fi on your casting device. The correct network, username, password, and a QR code will be clearly displayed on the TV screen so you may easily connect.  

    1. Open the app you wish to cast from on your device and tap the cast button / AirPlay 

    1. That’s it you may now cast to the TV 

    Please note that if the TV is turned off, you will need to go through the casting process again to continue casting. 

    Music: You may also stream your preferred playlists, transforming the TV into a speaker.

    1. Connect to the TV’s Wi-Fi and casting function, as described above 

    1. Open the Spotify app 

    1. Go to “Now Playing” 

    1. Tap the casting icon / “Connect” on your mobile device 

    1. That’s it – the TV can now be used as a speaker 

    Alarm Clock: Please follow the below instructions to set an alarm:  

    1. Turn on the TV 

    1. Press the Home button on the remote to go to the TV’s main menu 

    1. Scroll up and press the clock icon 

    1. Set your desired wake-up time 

    1. Choose which TV channel or sound you wish to wake up to 

    1. Choose the volume you want to wake up to 

    1. Press “Set alarm” 

    Removing Your Data: If you have logged into your personal accounts on various apps, these can easily be removed from the TV before or after check-out. Rest assured, this is also done automatically at check-out.  

    Here’s how to do it: 

    1. Press the Home button on the remote to access the TV’s main menu 

    1. Scroll down to “More” and press “OK” 

    1. Scroll down to “Personal” and select “Clear history” 

    1. All cookies and account information will now be removed from the TV 

  • Each room is equipped with a number of control panels that manage different aspects of the lighting. Please note there may be some variations on the number of panels from one room to another. The bathroom and wardrobe lighting is sensor controlled.  

    Here’s how to use a panel: 

    1. Use the on/off button to turn the lights on or off 

    1. Press the full sun icon to set the lights to full brightness 

    1. Press the half sun icon to dim the lights to approximately 50% brightness 

    1. Press the sunset icon to create a soft, low-light ambiance 

    Bedside lighting: The lights in the headboard can be turned on by tilting the bottom end out.   

    Light switches on either side of the bed: The switches closest to your bed controls the bedside lamp, and the other switch controls the lights in the room. Please note this is either fully on or off, and further regulation needs to be done from the main panel in the room.

  • Each room features a discreet black wall panel that allows you to adjust the temperature to your preference. The temperature can be adjusted within a range of +3 to –3 degrees Celsius, with increments of 0.5 degrees for precise control.

  • Breakfast is served every day 07.00 - 10.30 at Cafe WATT.

  • Room Service is available from 07.00 to 22.00 with different menus through the day. If you wish to pre-order breakfast in your room, you may do so by filling out the order form delivered to your room during the turndown service, and hang it on your door before 22.00.

  • Our attentive housekeeping team provides daily service, complemented by a thoughtful evening turndown to ensure your room remains a restful retreat throughout your stay.

  • We offer laundry and dry-cleaning service for your convenience. Laundry bags and order forms are available in your wardrobe. Simply place your items in the bag, complete the form, and contact the Front of House team. Items handed in before 8.00 will be returned the same day by 18.00.

    The wellness area is open daily from 07.00 to 22:00, and includes a sauna, cold plunge, a small relaxation pool, and a tranquil lounge. Stay active in our 24-hour fitness centre, fully equipped with premium Technogym equipment.

    The Library: Located in the Lobby, this room is ideal for any last-minute meetings or work discussions. This room cannot be booked in advance, and is intended for those of our guests wanting to work form “home” in our hotel. We are also happy to recommend venues nearby that offer coworking spaces for you to book a day pass.  

    Direktør Nilsen/ Director Nilsen: Our most intimate meeting room, perfect for smaller groups and private discussions. With space for focused collaboration in an elegant setting, Direktør Nilsen offers discretion and comfort in true Savoy style. Seats up to 6 guests.  

    Tullinhaven: Located just off the lobby with direct access to the courtyard, Tullinhaven is a versatile space designed for small and medium sized gatherings. Elegant yet functional, it provides the perfect setting for conferences, product launches, and receptions where atmosphere and flow are essential. Here, the timeless character of Savoy meets the needs of today’s events. Seats up to 45 guests.

OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD

Savoy 1918 is located in Tullinløkka, one of Oslo’s most central neighbourhoods. Surrounded by museums, galleries, cafés and restaurants, you’re just a short walk from many of the city’s cultural landmarks, shopping streets and waterfront areas.

Despite its central location, Tullinløkka has a relaxed, local feel and is a great starting point for exploring Oslo on foot.

Three Places We Actually Go Ourselves

Walk to Bygdøy

One of our favourite walks takes you from the city centre, along the waterfront and out to Bygdøy. Along the way you’ll pass beaches, parks and some of Oslo’s most beautiful fjord views. If the weather allows, bring your swimsuit. For dinner, we recommend Lille Herbern, a charming restaurant located on its own small island in the Oslofjord.

Swim and Sauna in Bjørvika

A walk through the city brings you to Bjørvika, Oslo’s modern waterfront district. Here you can take a swim in the fjord, relax in a floating sauna at KOK, enjoy a coffee by the Opera House or simply spend an afternoon by the water.

Along the Akerselva River

For a different side of Oslo, follow the Akerselva River north through former industrial areas, waterfalls, green parks and local neighbourhoods. It’s one of the city’s most popular walking routes and a great way to experience everyday Oslo.

Cafe WATT

Cafe WATT is a neighbourhood restaurant inspired by classic European café culture. Open from morning to evening, it serves seasonal dishes rooted in Norwegian ingredients, alongside a carefully selected wine list and Nordic beverages.

Located on the first floor, Cafe WATT welcomes both hotel guests and locals alike. If you would like to reserve a table, our reception team will be happy to help.
